what's this "limited slip" diff on the AC 716H?

There's a device on the right hand rear axle, and I'm not exactly sure what it does. Is it just some sort of slip clutch? Is there an actual differential in the transaxle, or does the device on the right axle act as a diff? Is there specific maintenance that I need to perform on it?[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]

Your best bet is to get a set of manuals. Simplicity has some neat features. The rear is not a "limited slip" in the automotive sense. It is a "traction control" but it works great.

It's a diff, the older ones had a 2 bolt tightening adj. on them to give it reg. diff. action or locked action,,newer ones don't..

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
