gas tank straps - 917

The steel portion of my tank straps are about rusted thru (PO had battery leakage). I looked at part no. 171330 (now 2171330) at Jacks- they are about $13 per each. Anyone have a better source? If not, I may simply make some out of 16ga steel (galv. or maybe even SS). Thanks,

Watch ebay. You might beable to get them for 99 cents plus shipping:D. Joes Outdoor Power is the seller. If there isn`t any on there this week there more than likely will be next week. Ive used a muffler clamp! NO JOKE There from your napa auto parts store. Its a oversized hose clamp. There used to keep the muffler together. There big enough to wrap around a muffler.
