Hydraulic Pump

Has any used the hydraulic pump and cylinders off of an automotive convertible to lift implements? They are 12v, have 2 way cylinders, and are very strong. Picked up a 48" mower deck and 42" rototiller right off the ground very quickly (not at the same time) with one cylinder. Just a thought. Ryan

I never tried it but don't know why it won't work. Two tips: 1) A direct wired switch may not work. Some of those convertibles used a switch and a relay. 2) Be careful adding hydraulic oil. Some of those convertibles used brake fluid.

The one I used is off of a 64.5 Mustang. Fluid is ATF and there is a relay between the motor and power source. Ryan
