14hp compression specs

Anyone know what kind of compression I should be looking for on my 1970 14hp briggs in my sovereign. 3314V Thanks Gene

I have been told by people in the know that 110lbs is new, 60lbs is a skeeter fogger...

Briggs does not publish any info on compression values, but the general consensus is around 85 to 110 PSI cold cranking with SG as being OK, and higher with a gear starter as it spins the engine faster.
