Hello all, been a while since I posted. Rod Hubbard came over last weekend and helped me re -wire my 917. I replaced the engine with a Briggs twin I/C.

The old engine Kohler Toilet

The spare engine came with an electric PTO:D

A tire valve assembly, I got the idea from Rod Hubbard

Ready for the fuel tank

The newly rebuilt engine, I bought the spare just in case this engine was missing any parts- $60.00 for the spare

Hey, I was just wondering if you're going to be getting rid of the old Kohler, or if you have other uses for it. Just asking as I need some parts. Also, I haven't used those valve stems before, is that a rubber grommet? Thanks,

Good pictures John. I hope your tank works without any leaks. If your engine continues to turn over slow like it did while I was there, try another solenoid. I had one that made me think the starter was going bad. I replaced the solenoid and it spun like it should.

Is it just my personal experience or do the "tractor" solenoids nowdays not hold up as well? I had a Briggs solenoid on a LL 2210 last 3 months. Went to a Ford V8 grade unit and never looked back. Cost half as muchsm00
