Am interested in a 712 locally. I currently have a 916H. Generically speaking, will the attachments (42" snow blower, front blade, 48" deck, roto) that I have for the 916 work on the 712 as well? Thanks.

Yes but the 712 is mostly a front pto machine unles you mod it. THe 916 is a mid pto machine... You could use the blower on the 916 from the 712 if you add the front pto...

Thanks for the info. Ideally, I'll find another 916. Are the 900 series the only large frames that have the mid pto or is that specific to a 916?

One thing to keep in mind is the 712 is smaller than the 7100 series. Depending on what you are using the tractor for this may not be an issue. I used a 712 and a 7118 both with a 42 inch blower to move snow. Both did a great job, the only real difference I noticed was the 7118 could throw the snow farther. For mowing the only difference I noticed was I felt more secure on the 712 mowing on a side hill. On a 712 you sit lower and moving your weight around seems to affect the tractor more. Note I never rolled either tractor and cannot say for sure if shifting my weight made any real difference; could just have been my perception. Aside from the PTO differences I never had any trouble moving my attachments from one tractor to another. More information than you asked, but wanted to make sure you understood the differences between the two tractors. Rick.......
