Thanks for all replies!! I did have a price with a simplicity part number but the supplier wasn't able (or willing?) to confirm that it was the Nelson 'coffee can'. I don't mind spending the $ 35 for the one I wan,t but I'm really cheap and don't want to end up with a piece of junk for $ 35. Thanks again, John(ri)

I need to put a muffler on the mod.19 I just got going for my 725. I like the muffler I have on the 12hp in the landlord and am looking for a source. The name on it is NELSON. Does anyone know if this is OEM from Simplicity and if it's still availiable through them or elsewhere? Thanks, John(ri)

I believe Nelson is located in Canada and is a subsidiary of Cummins. Other than Simplicity, I don't know a source for that exact muffler. Have you looked at the pictures and specs at Manufacturers Supply (see link)..?[A href='http://www.mfgsupply.com/']http://www.mfgsupply.com/[/a]

John, Let me know if you get this new coffee can type, and how you like it. I certainly don't like the aftermarket or Briggs replacement type ones -- they're too loud! I ran a stack muffler for a while and found it can get in the way when mowing around shrubs and stuff... I liked the looks and the lower noise though. I haven't heard enough good reports on the Super-Trapp type to warrant their high price, in my own mind, at least. Let me know how quiet your new Nelson one is.... Kent
