High Lift Blades

Recommended Posts

Just picked up 4212H 36" Deck W/Bagger new blades without the assist blower. I'm not sure if I have high lift blades or not. Mower and bagger seem to do a good job. A.) How can I tell if they are high lift? B.) If not, is it worth the investment? C.) Should the left bag fill first (please don't laugh at this lol!)

Bags often fill distant-first due to path of flight. As far as lift goes, the higher lift blade is generally the one with the higher "lifts" -i.e. the upturned tips. Lift is good for everything except debris. If you have nut trees or a gravel driveway, perhaps a mid lift would be more practical.

Thanks for the reply. It's working very good right now. I'm thinking that I am going to tape the ends of the tubes to help with the air flow. I am satisfied right now, but the leaves really have not started to fall heavily here 40 Mi west of chicago!
