My gas tank on my 416s started leaking on the bottom side where the seam is ,is there any way to seal a plastic gas tank. JB weld didn't work and would like to have the orginal tank on the mower.8C

I'm not sure if this fix will work.

A tire valve assembly, I got the idea from Rod Hubbard

Or, you could try an adhesive called "Seal-All". It is a gas proof (so far, for about a year) contact adhesive. Use a similar material plastic patch and glue it to the bottom of the tank. I glued a sheetmetal patch on my metal tank and it is staying for this season, so far, I plan to line the tank innards over the winter, and that will be permanent

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
