replace bad kohler on 7117 with briggs single cyli

will single cyl briggs cast iron engine fit 7117? Modifications needed?

have to change ignition wiring and length of driveshaft it is easy to do

Just an FYI I wouldn't junk that motor. As I am finding out, if it is a KT17 Series II, the parts are worth a pretty good buck. You may want to parts it or sell it, even in its bad state.
