B112 tranny woes again...

MPH, The guts are the same except for the input shaft. The B112 has the vari-speed and a longer (and different key placement) input shaft. All other components are the same. And yes it does sound like the retainer clip is out or sliding on the shaft. Good Luck. Mike S.

Thanks Mike, might just put the shaft I ordered in the B10 tranny if it looks better inside MPH

While workin on my pulley replacement I locked in 2nd gear and so far bent screw driver trick has failed. My biggest concern is the amount of end play in the pulley shaft, about half an inch, enough I think it comes out of the bearing on the other end. Thinkin the retainer clip must be gone in there. Seeing no choice but to learn what the inside of one of these guys look like. Bill, do you have a new or good shaft? can a machine shop cut a new half moon keyway in? Any info on weather or not the guts are the same in a B10 tranny as a B112 would be helpful.. Thank in advance once again....MPH
