well, sending check this week for this beast. as you may know, one of my favorite sites is the king of obsolete, http://www.kingofobsolete.ca/ U can check out his crane under 'kings cats' or just go to 'what the king did today' he was just usin his to yank some engine. I have always loved his trackson crane. kinda unique. they didnt make many and they are dated around WW2. Well I found one in the midwest. Wont be able to get it out to me till spring. weight is around 18k lbs. Lifts around 5k with boom at 12 ft, extended, 2k at 18 feet. Swings around unlike the typical pipelayer crawler. Year on mine is 1942. Looks pretty good for it's age. Wont fit in a flat rate box so workin on drivin out and getting it with a lowbed. Will post again in the spring when I get it. Should look great where I live in the suburbs! lol that is a thought! should be fun/useful to have around the house. will be great for ruining the lawn at 9 tons. They were generally green/olive colored, I believe (military.) I sorta like the IH/Cub scheme, probably will repaint and drag it around to some shows. I gotta put an overhang on my shed as it is too tall to put in it (9'3".)

Not sure on the blade, on his site the king made one out of scrap. From what I have heard, a blade would attach. I dont see any way it could. The good thing about these is the undercarriage has mimimal wear as it was not used as a dozer. Can't wait to get it and drag it to a show

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
