Simplicity Sunstar

I have a 1992-93 Sunstar with 20 hp Kohler Magnum. It has a wire from center lug on Rectifier/Regulator that I cannot find where it goes. The wire is only about 8" long and is supposed to go to Keyswitch according to Magnum Manual. The wire has a 1.5" plastic tube on the end. Any Help?

That sounds like it may connect to the relay by the description of the wire.
