The weak part of the transaxle is the tube axle/differential. The rest of the transaxle you can't hurt. A good tube axle and differential with no slop or play is good for about 40hp. With wear and stress a 10hp can break them.

Yes it will handle it fine. Not sure how much cutting you will have to do to make it fit! There is a few members that have put twin cylinder Vanguards in the B series tractors. They are more hp but running the same RPM`s.

Well, Mike, all I can say is that I am currently putting a 25 Hp Kohler in a Simplicity tractor. The B10 should be the same strength as the one I am using. I heard somewhere that they were designed to handle 50 Hp.

Assuming your gears and axle tube are up to par and not fatigued, the pins in the differential hub are designed to give before anything internal or expensive breaks.
