After breaking a connecting rod on my 1964 simplicity 7.25 i was able to find a new .020 piston and standard pin. But could not find a resonable priced connecting rod (250.00)so i looked used and found a lightly used model 14(black engine used in impliment application 5 hp).Everything from the 14 will cross over to the 19 EXCEPT THE BLOCK THE HEAD THE PISTON & PIN.This worked out well as further inspection showed that crank cam lifters crank end supports were all worn out.My 7.25 is running again sounds great!this is a note of information

I have an old 14 on my shelf just for that reason, though I hope that I never have to! It is however, good to know that it worked out for you. Welcome to the club!

Thank you That 14 might come in handy if you need a 290932 support cover seal they are no longer available as far as i can find.I was glad they were in good condition on the 14 i bought.
