16HP B&S V-twin Vanguard in 3310V?

I have have been thinking about getting a 3310V with a blown motor. Will a 16HP B&S V-twin Vanguard fit? What engines will fit? What do you have to do to connect the shaft drive? Would twin or single cylinder be better? I probably won't use it much to mow, more for tilling, garden plow, and snowblowing. Any help, past experiences or comments appreciated. Thanks, Jordan.

Jordan, If that 16hp wards is cheap take the ole briggs out of it. I picked one yesterday for 150 bucks with a bad knock but felt the lug tires were worth it seein I just spend 180 getting a set here for my B112. Poured a jug of valve cleaner though it cause the Knock just sounded to hi up for a rod. Runns prefect now, mowed the lawn with it and now understand the love you all have for the Simplicty mower system. Sure do like the hydrstat and hydro lift...MPH
