23D oil capacity?

I just bought a '64 simplicity with a 23D engine and it is blowing smoke out of the crankcase. Does anyone know what the correct oil capacity should be? Also where could I find one of the mulcher/vacuum attachments in the old ads? Thanks.

23D holds 4 pints of 10W30 in summer and 5W20 in winter.it sounds like rings. You can still get parts call Briggs 414-259-5333 they have parts & maintenance manuls i got them form them.
