i have a 3410 with a briggs and when first started it misses, if i have the throttle low it will run right and i can slowly add throttle till its fully warmed up. when warmed i can go full throttle. while its missing it has alot of black smoke out the exhaust not sure if its too much fuel or the fuel is not being fired, it seems like the spark is intermittent while cold but i don't understand why the spark would get better when warmed up. if a fuel problem why would it get better when warmed? this tractor is one that i have to shut the fuel off when not running as it will run out the bottom of the carb, but i hear that is not so uncommon and should not affect the tractor this way

I would also start with a carb rebuild there is probably some blockage in the ports in the carb. also what fuel do you run in the tractor because the ethanol fuel or fuel with ethanol in it causes bad corrosion and ruins the carbs on small engines.

just do all your normal maintenance clean and regap the points clean or change plug fresh fuel new air filter and carb rebuild. I'm sure you will get it.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
