7014 still won't start

This is a follow-up to a previous post on a 7014S that will turn over but not start. I rebuilt the carb, checked the flywheel key, cleaned and set the points, sanded down the armature and magnet then adjusted the air gap. It is now getting fuel to the cylinder. I am getting spark when I take the wire off and use the screwdriver test to get spark. I don't know if it is too weak or not. The darn machine turns over continuously without any hint of starting. I am thinking of converting to magnetron next. Does anyone have any other things to try? By the way, the initial problem started when it was idling while I was putting the ramps in the shed to take it in, then quit and hasn't run since. Someone had mentioned checking the wiring, what should I check and how?

If spark is yellow then it is weak. There should be a nice fat blue spark. Have you tried a new plug? Check for loose, frayed, and/or broken wires. Wires should be copper not cabon. I would reccomend putting in an automotive coil and condensor. Although I haven't done the conversion my self yet, there have been plenty of good reviews on this forum. Check out Rob Schepis' story in the Gallery about the conversion. I did use a new plug. The spark is blue, but I would not say it is fat.
