Tractor w/ 16 HP Kohler Seized...............

Recommended Posts

I recieved a free JD 216 garden tractor from a neighbor. He drained the oil and while he let it drain out he went to the auto parts store to get new oil. Well, his son drove the tractor around (curious) while he was gone and the engine seized up. His son got in trouble and they gave me the tractor. They bought one from Lowe's... I plan to remove and take apart the engine to see how bad it is. Has anyone had the good luck of un-seizing one??? I would guess a few new parts would be needed like crank bearings/ piston/ rings etc.
