Thanks to this forum and, in particular 'timflurry' and 'Burntime', I was able to get my lawn tractor going again. As the two of you suggested, I put WD-40 and penetrating oil in the cylinder and slowly started working the crank to loosen things up. It took a week or so but, I put the engine back in the tractor, connected everything back up and it fired up at the first turn of the key. I ran it around for 15-20 minutes at low rpm and it seems to be running fine. Thanks again to all who responded.

You're very welcome Jim. We're here to save the membership $$ that might not need to be spent. Glad your stuck engine is back to life. Most of the time, people that rush to free a stuck engine usually break a piston ring.
