Power Max hydraulic line replacement

Recommended Posts

midnightpumpkin
On the Power Max, I want to replace the rubber hoses that connect the oil filter (5/8 ID) and the oil cooler (1/2 ID). The original hoses look more like ordinary heater hose than any hydraulic hose I can find. The orginals have a fiber core between two rubber layers. The only marking on them is "LOCK ON". Could they be ordinary heater hose? Will heater hose stand up to ATF? Anyone have a specific recommendation. I know they are suction and return lines, so there is very low pressure on them. Thanks John U

I found that the original hose marked, LOCK ON is a Gates trademark. I found this PUSH LOCK hose at a very reasonable price. It is identical to the original hose used by Simplicity, just a different manufacturer. http://www.discounthydraulichose.com/Black_Push_Lock_Hose_p/3384-hose.htm?1=1&CartID=0 John U
