Briggs website, cant find coil

Recommended Posts

I went to briggsandstratton.com website to look up part no. for the ignition coil and starter. I typed in model: 402707-0145-01 and it gave me a diagram of engine parts, to include starter but no coil. Can anyone explain why they would not show this part or am I just missing it? In addition, when you click on the diagram and try to download the illustrated parts list, pdf. file which you are viewing, it brings up a Simplicity Parts Manual for a 5200 Series tractor. This parts manual, like my 6216 manual does not include detailed parts about the engine components. It is a little confusing why a B&S website is linked to Simplicity manuals? Help appreciated on getting the part no. for the coil. I imagine the coil has some parts no. on it, but I dont want to walk out to the barn and expose the flywheel for that. MR

The coil is in this manual. The manual is for the model number listed above. The coil is on page 7. http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=Z6ltuBVJ1DajI Operators manual http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=msquBL-K_ny7tH217FzoPu
