starter push button switch

Rewiring the Simplicity 717 today with a new stator, lights and volt gauge and had the stud break off the back of the starter push button switch. Looking for the part number for this push button switch so I can see if the dealer here has one tomorrow. Jacks Small Engines list one for $18 but from the picture they show it doesn't look right.

I'm pretty sure that will work Bob, I'm going to take that Briggs part number down to the dealer tomorrow and see if he's got this one in stock. This dealer is not one for keeping much stock though.

Orcheln has some push button switches for farm tractors. I put one on a gravely a few years back. I think it was around $15, It was the longer style but I think they have the short ones too.

Found the exact replacement switch at our local Tractor Supply for $12, but not the chain store Tractor Supply. This same switch was made for a Ford 9N tractor and they came in short and long switches

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
