Are the carberators the same on the 10-16hp briggs engines used in a 3410 or 3416 the same besides jet sizes? Or are the passage ways different in the housings as well? Thanks!

The carburators on a 3410 and 3416 use the same rebuild kit and jet. The difference is in where the adjusting needles end up. In fact the original carb from my 3416H is now running perfectly on my Big 10.

The four bolt carbs are basically the same and will interchange. Some have the cable connections on the front and some have them on the back side. Also there is differences in the way the "L" shaped portion that goes up to the air cleaner is made. I have several different configurations in my spare parts box.

You will also notice a difference in the intake manifold length. I have several carbs that I use as well, for spare parts. Some can or cannot be used due to the air cleaner connection interfering with the hood.
