Pennsylvania Quality

Saw a neat tractor today for sale. Only markings were Pennsylvania Quality. Had a Tecum. 10hp. What made it unique was it had a downsized car rear end and full size plymouth brakes and drums. Anyone know anything about them?

I suspect what you might have there is a Panzer. Usually they would have the word Pennsylvania embossed vertically on the center of the front grill. My father-in-law has one that he got for $20 out of a golf course scrap pile 20 some odd years ago. It's still running strong. He doesn't have the any attachments other than a homemade trailer and stone skidder. But he uses the thing all the time for hauling around the property. There are some clubs out there dedicated to this model of tractor. Leo

As I understand it, there were several models of Panzers made, including one with a "bench seat" that two people could sit on, side by side. The company also changed hands a time or two, including name changes from Pennsylvania Panzer to Copar Panzer, or vice versa.... I suggest you try searching for Panzer garden tractor info, in general. Check the Yahoo clubs, for sure.
