osenga Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Well I picked up a 3210V over all fair shape . But what I am wondering looks as if gas has gotten in to the oil . So is the a carb sticking open or what never had this happen before
goatfarmer Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Possibly run with the choke on, or maybe the float is sticking, and flooding the cylinder.
osenga Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Ok well it is bad rings wouldn't it smoke all the time ? I just get a small puff on start up and that's it. Other then that it runs great
yukon Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 brian thats why i put the shut off on the tank because it leaked gas once i shut it off
B10Dave Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Like Perry says; on a Briggs engine carb is upflow. Gas does not run uphill. If needle is leaking; gas will flow out of air intake tube and not into cylinder and past rings. May be running too rich or with too high a float level and can't burn all the fuel available. If so, some may be bypassing rings and diluteing crankcase oil. I think Kenny has it pegged perfectly. Dave.
