GW's asking prices are pretty wild in my opinion on most of the stuff they list. I'd say $20 each would be more to the tune of reality, though it only takes one or two desperate people to drive a price up up up. Rock Gaurds for full size farm equipment usually run $5 - $10 each if memory serves, just as a comparrison. In my opinion the deal you are looking at for a dozen isnt too bad a deal if one needs a new set.

I'm sure there are needs, but I wouldn't pay that much for them myself. I put 2 on ebay just before christmas and got 0 bids at 10.00 each. Could have been the time of year....but who knows. Have'nt tried them recently, they still hang on the garage wall. ;)

Aren't they generally prime painted or something, when new, to keep them from rusting?

I have my own stock of replacements for my personal sickle.. would just buy these to sell. Does not seem like a very profitable business venture :)
