Trailer hitch as an attachment standard?

I know I'll be making custom mounts for attachments I want to put on my DA917H. I was considering putting Class III receivers (2"x2") on the front and rear of the tractor that pivot/lift with the hydraulic lift, and use the receiver as a standard to connect attachments. Anyone ever do this?

sounds like a lot of work to me when the standard attachments are so simple and quick, but thats just my opinion

I made this liftable hitch for the rear of my AC 716H. The ball can be loosened with a wrench and manually slit up and down the slot in the hitch to match the hitch from a trailer. Then the hitch itself will lift up and down with the hydraulic lift on the tractor. I use this to hook up or unhook from a trailer without leaving the seat of the tractor. I suppose you could mount a receiver, to the manual sliding part of this hitch.

rokon - yeah, but I'm a glutton for punishment. Bigger picture, I'm looking for a standard type mount for the front end - a sleeve hitch is good for the things I want to put in the rear. It's the front end I'm working on. hotrodtractor - I'm tuned into this vendor and product. If I put a sleeve hitch on the rear (and I probably will) this will be something I'll look into. HubbardRA - I had this image saved into my "tractor good idea" folder - good job! sm06 It's something like this I'm thinking to put on the front end, with the 2x2 receiver, that raises/lowers with the hydraulic lift, as well as attach a 12v linear actuator to give me the ability for things like dumping and plow blade angle. This would be the "quick connect" for a plow, small bucket, and a gizmo I want to make that puts a short landscape rake (2' or so) on a long shaft (5' or so) to allow me to pull up to balls of weeds between trees, drop the rake down and back out pulling the weeds with me. Thanks for the feedback!
