I just picked up a 38" revitalizer in good shape. Knives are rusty but like new. It did come with the rear pulley (tiller style) and dude even threw in a a rear lift hitch.... price $250. Can't wait to try it out and then over seed my patching lawn. Will get some pics up soon. Best part is he said he also had a 36 tiller sitting around I said how much to take it off your hands he said $125...^ok I said... thinking I know I cna flip this thing for $400 easy :II just sold a beat up one today fopr $375 and owner did not want the belt or pulley setup he was just replacing his old worn out one.

That's a good buy,I picked one up a couple years ago now everyone wants there lawn detached. If you plan on over seeding it works real well to go both ways across the lawn,it makes a good seed bed. I set mine about a half inch deep, seams to work better there. Good luck and be prepared to make a lot of friends once they know you have one.:D:D

I can't believe you get that kind of money for a tiller! I need to take a vacation and come sell stuff in your neighborhood... I've bought 3 this year, and sold them to buddies...I had $350 into 2 36" and a 32" with PTO's. $125-$200 for a 32" or 36" tiller seems to be the running rate around here. Maybe $250 for something in extraordinary shape. Sounds like you did good! Those revitalizers are very elusive around here...especially the big ones.

Sun Prairie? I e-mailed the guy twice, called and left message, no return calls. Hard to buy from someone when they won't talk to you. That was a good deal, no question. The revitalizers work very well IMO.

guys looked at it a bit more and it's missing the rear wheels? Any idea why they would be off? Maybe it works better that way. Regardless, simplicity put the wheels on for a reason and I want to get a replacement set. I assume they are standard, but can someone tell what size they are please ?

I replaced the damaged wheels on my revitalizer with # 2319T32 from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#2319t32/=c3f2gf Here's a pic of what they look like:

As others have said, you set the depth by adjusting the wheels; I've also found 1/2" is good. IMO, the easist way to set the depth is to park the tractor/revitalizer on level asphalt/concrete, lower the unit's wheels onto 1/2" thick wood strips and adjust so the tines are just touching the asphalt/concrete. The electronic manuals are available at the Briggs site, older model with clutch (as my Homelite) is mfg #990688; newer non-clutch is mfg #1690079.

I just got mine out yesterday... you bring up a good point.. maybe run it over the garden after tilling for seed bed!! although i dont think the blades will like stones too much... seeding grass is right on...
