Any idea which 1056 led bulbs will provide at least as much light as the standard bulbs? I am looking at saving some amps as the led's take 10%

the only problem with led's is when there is ambient light the led light doesn't cut through it. maybe this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Xenon-White-12-LED-1056-1034-Corner-lights-Bulbs-59-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2a0c8aafccQQitemZ180599041996QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I saw those, and these... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-White-27-SMD-LED-Brake-Turn-Tail-Light-Bulb-7507-1056-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem25630cc7f6QQitemZ160575571958QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories The ones you listed I found a few reviews and they were dimmer then the regular bulbs. Of course the review was a year and a half ago. I am hoping I find some slightly brighter for less draw... The 1056 draw 1.15 amp each...

i just bought some on ebay from hong kong but haven't recieved them yet. mine are the H3 socket type. if you can wait, i'll let you know how they are. another difference is mine have 68 led's: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-H3-68-SMD-LED-Fog-Head-Light-Headlight-Lamp-Bulb-12V-/320690264910?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aaaa11b4e

i have halogen in my lights and they are 4.5 amps each. with only 10 amp output on my generator, that don't leave a whole lot for everything else. i'm guessing the 68 led's should be less that .75 each, and that should help out a lot when i build my heated snow cab.

Yep, I am not jumping on it unless I find someone raving about it. I have some other stuff to do as well so I have plenty of time. Please please please let me know...:D

I think they look the same with a different fixture and fewer wafers...say a little more then half as many if you count the top...

Mike heres a secret...... JW speaker near us in Milwaukee made the OEM lights. I am pretty sure they make the same size light housing (not just bulb) that is a direct fit in a high power LED version. Looked it up a year or so ago but never made the jump.

Is that for the square style?

Check here guys, http://www.superbrightleds.com/ I'm not sure you'll find what you are looking for. I have bought from them in the past. LED Lighting has come a long way in the last couple years.

I actually came across this before. Anyone have any idea what this translates too in lumens vs a 1056 bulb? http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2FBAU15S-x18-T.htm A 1056 draws 1.15 amps at 12v it is 13.8 watts each. Any idea on how to compare the output? The led is 175 mA so is that .175 amps? If thats the case I just saved 1.95 amps. If the output is the same or hopefully better that is a pretty good savings for 40 bucks!

WOW! JW Speaker gets 138 bucks a headlight! I like the tractor, but not that much!:D

yup I go all out. I have read tons of reviews and have not found a LED bulb that will have the output a the standard bulb does.. it sucks cause I has a $20 LED flashlight that is just awesome, but everything I have read and heard says the replacement bulbs just don't cut it. If you want more light get the holegens mentioned above but watach for melting housing}:) My 75th lights are crasy bright I think the issue with the square simplcity ones are the crapy plactic covers and poor reflectors. I would replace entire housing.. if it were me.

You are supposed to sit inside and watch TV at night. Do the tractor work in the daytime.:D

Good one Rod. I hope to be gainfully employeed again one day so nite time snowthrowing will be the norm.

i got my led's in the mail today, my tractor is at work but i should be by there to test them out. i'll post as soon as i get some info.

I've heard of guys taking reflective tape on the inside of the housing and claimed success. I haven't tried it myself yet.

i installed the lights, had to do a lot of fabricating to fit them in to the small lamp. i wasn't totally impressed with them but i'll only be using them for snow removal also. the funny thing is, they are nearly blinding to look at but the light doesn't seem bright when you're behind them.

So are the better, worse, or the same as the regular bulbs you replaced?
Posted
worse in the fact that the lights aren't as bright, better for power consumption. i tried some 26 led lights and they were pretty dim, the ones i have in there now are 68 led, i think.

I just retilled the garden and it was dark by the time I was done. WOW, the factory rectangle lites on the new sovereigns are a joke! Litterally you can see just infront of you and that is it. These things are really lacking compared to even the older round lites...sm00
