First stripes with rebuilt deck

I grabbed the camera to take a couple pictures of wife's early blooming Rhododendron before it freezes. I caught a few stripes made with my rebuilt 48" deck. New blades, belt, bearings and roller shaft. It does a much better job.

Yeah Marty, Winter does not want to give up. I never plant much garden until June 1st. It has been unseasonally cold, and wet, this year. Seems Alaska and Canada have been sending cold air to us.C

I know what you mean. Here in ND it's been far too wet and cold. I heard yesterday that a couple farmers were scratching at their fields, but not with any kind of success. Hopefully things will warm up and dry soon. Nice stripes! I won't get any this year. The yard is going to be pretty tore up from all the poplars we're going to cut down next week (see my thread in the gardening forum). But on the brighter side I'll get to use the heck out of my new tiller!

Don't sound like fun tilling to me Craig. I've trashed a couple tiller shrouds turning this old spruce tree forest into my yard.

Nice looking strips. I don't know if strips will show up in my creeping charlie and violets. I got my sprayer all set up but when it isn't raining the wind is blowing like mad.Maybe one of these days it will shape up.
