What are any of your thoughts on painting something ORANGE that was originally YELLOW..? or vice verse? Im thinking about changing some implements over...

My opinion..... Implements, fine. Tractor, no. Just my opinion. Some have painted their A/C B series tractors orange to make them look like the full size ones of the same era. I've even seen a green Sunrunner. Just not my cup of tea.

I have the same idea Jay,I bought a mid 60's half of it is yellow and the other is orange so I do not know which way to go.It does not have a grill in it so I guess it depends on what I can find for a grill.

I think its ok to change the color of the implements to match whatever tractor your going to use them on. I always hated the look of a orange mower on a yellow A/C or vise-versa.. Just my opinion... Kevin

Kevin, At least your tractor is still tasteful. Time and care were spent on that project. I've seen my fair share of not only bad paint jobs, but the poorly trained painter tried to make an orange tractor green.

I don't think there are "any" rules when it comes to anyone's tractor. I've seen them painted like a Mack truck, an Oliver 77, and even in other non stock shades. Whatever floats your boat!

I'm generally of the same camp...Yellow and Orange should stay as is, but attachments are neat to match to a tractor. That being said, my Granfather insisted an Allis is Orange, and when we rebuilt this one from the ground up in '99, orange was the only color he would use. I love it...
