A Question about Homelite tractors

I recently acquired a CT-10 and am not having much luck identifying the year it was made. Anyone have any ideas towards an answer?

Quess I should have given a little more detail. This tractor looks a lot like a Simplicity 728 broadmoor. It has a ten horse briggs and a 42 inch deck. I would imagine a certain smiling member may know a little about this tractor since he was the previous owner.LOL. Anyway thanx for any help in this matter

check the engine serial # if it's the original engine you can get a date it was made and that's as close as you'll get to a year of the machine.

I think its about the same as the 5010 broadmoor. They were made around 1975. Mel's suggestion about the engine numbers will get you the closest date.

Thanks very much for the help. I do believe it is a 75 model. least thats what I'm going with till someone corrects me. With a little time and effort I hope to get it cleaned up and ready to show off with my 71 Broadmoor. Guess now with two I'm starting to be a collector instead of an owner LOL

Got any pics? I need a close up of the hood decals.I have a CT10 that has no decals on it and I want to restore it and get decals made?

Get some pictures posted as soon as I can. Sam the carb trouble reared its ugly head for a couple of mowing sesions but I little of my magic mix of gas seems to be clearing it up. The old girl sure mows nice. I'll have it cleaned up soon. Your rite about it being a good clean tractor to start with
