larry8200 Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 My Dad has a 2000 Sovereign 18, the last year Simplicity made Large frames. At least once a year I go through it, especially the deck, and do whatever it needs. He has one of those near perfect lawns only fully retired (or very rich) people have. When I was done I had no choice whatsoever.... I just had too... OrangeMetalGuy Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Not bad. Have you tried double-striping? After you cut the grass, turn off the PTO and (with the deck lowered) just drive over your stripes again.

Never tried striping wet grass either, which I've hear works the best. Maybe I'll try re-striping the lawn with the deck off the next morning while it's still wet. Sometime I want to try diamonds....
OrangeMetalGuy Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Lol Larry you have some great machines. I have not double-striped myself yet, but want to try it. I do make sure to always repeat my pattern exactly, even to the point where I will not drive the tractor across the lawn once I am done mowing; I always run it down on top of an existing stripe. Damp grass does stripe well, for sure. It's a sickness, but I'm glad I have it!!

I'm the same way, this picture has always ticked me off becaus you can see where I drove the tractor up from the shed before I mowed. As for the sickness, If your friends are lucky your still contagious!!! :D:D:D
