larry8200 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Has a complete 42" blower w/ mechanical forward PTO & 2 link chains, that were held on bby enough bugee's to last me a lifefetime. Seller wanted $350. I gave $300 cash. Needed battery seat and tune up. Spent 2 hours cleaning it, another hour puttin a battery, seat, Plug, fuel filter and shutoff and it runs great. Pleasently surprised, I couldn't find any problem except the 2 speed belts need adjusting, though it works fine as is. Even the headlights work. I think I'm going to park my 36" tiller permenantly on this. I've heard I'm single handedly causing a shortage around here, but I cant see it. Picking up a 97 Sovereign 19 Hydro w/ power steering tomorrow morning for my Dad, and the seller also has a nice 20 horse Sunstar... I have 4 more SImplicitys and a Alls 312 out front, I expect the Allis to join the Fleet tomorrow, my 3212H Sovereign custom resto in 3 weeks and an early B-10 shortly after, if I dont keep stealing thier parts.... The seat and battery on this were for the 3212H....
captainweezy Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Probably over a hundred $ in gas in the fleet picture if they have at least 2 gals in each one:( Nice looking fleet though.

If they were all full probably $120. Because theyr'e is nothing but e10 available within 75 miles here, I have put fuel shutoffs in everthing and run the carb out of fuel when I know I wont be running it again soon. I also only fill them with just what I think theyll need so fuel doesn't sit for more than a few weeks. Yah! In a perfect world...

Hey Larry, by you cornering the market on Simplicitys and Allis Chalmers all over New England, your keeping the rest of us out of divorce court!! :D Envious? Yup!
larry8200 Posted May 8, 2011 Author Posted May 8, 2011 Too many tractors. Going to be selling off some good runners soon. 5 might be a good number to keep, over 10 has about $800 in battery's... I'm astounded at the deals I keep finding, I think one may actually have been a "steal" I'm also saddened that practilly no ones interested in these tractors anymore, at any price. I'm picking up a beautifull 98 Sovereign 19 with power steering and a 48" deck tomorrow for my Dad, it has sat at a small engine shop for 6 weeks now with a asking price of $1600. That no one can see it's 10 times the machine the new cubs and deeres of the same price are, well, I may have to keep filling my 5 acres with Simplicity tractors. It'll take a while. :D
rpickle Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 That is the vintage 7016 I have left. Mine is a hydro tho. Yours looks sharp! Rick

Rick Hydro Sovereigns are what hooked me, hook, line, sinker... I'm doing a hydrolift 3212H rebuild that is going to be awesome. Speaking of awesome, there is a "new" hydrolift Sovereign on my trailer right now! So far though, I haven't come across anything to match my 3416H which has been in the family and running 4 seasons since 75.
