rpickle Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Hi folks, I am contemplating one of these but am wondering how manuverable they are. For the most part, I have a fairly wide-open back yard. However there are some corners that I think a nearly 8' mower may have difficulty making. Just polling those who use these to get their opinions. Appreciate it. Rick
ka9bxg Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I have a f c h same as a sunrunner but hydro trans. Love the machine it saved me lots of time in my yard as I have lots of trees. I still plan on using it for trimming and the big allis 720 for the open areas. Bob
rpickle Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Thanks. The one I am looking at is a hydro also. It has the dump bed and leaf bagger. Looks slick.
alan_huf2002 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I have a 16FCH, which is similar to a Sunruneer. While they can steer into tight places, I have found that they perform poorly on hills due to limited traction. If you have a flat yard, this would not be an issue.
ezliving4ume Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 There's a sunrunner on ebay right now. I would love to get my hands on one. I would add ag's and a snow blade so I could use it as a wood carrier in the winter time.dOddOd
TommyK Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 That's why God invented flower gardens. Mow what you can. Round-up what's left, roto-till it and plant your garden.
jmhusby Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Had a 16-48 hydro with a collection system. Sold it cause4 I needed a unit to blow snow. Wish I could have kept it. Best thing I ever had to mow around trees and fast to cut the rest of the yard. Go for it.dOd
