BLT Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 It started out as a 12HP CI from a 3112, but it was short blocked a few years ago and then the tractor went bye-bye. I was told it lost compression. The valve faces pounded their way into the seats negating any stem clearance. The valves faces were salvageable and after lapping the black in, after they were refaced, and stem clearance was adjusted, I got nice pencil thin lap marks. Curiosity made me check the bore. It is 3-5/8". Yippee an undercover 16 HP.
MPH Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Same cheap to fix problem that made my 64 LL able to be bought. I love those kind of worn out engines.
