TommyK Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 It's no secret the Allis Chalmers name is now pretty much defunct as far as farm tractors go. AGCO made decision to consolidate their world wide production down from a half dozen or so brands down to one: Massey-Ferguson. Somewhere on the world wide web, I saw a new garden tractor with the A-C logo on it. Brand spanking, show room new. I'll be dogged if I can find it again. Who is making it?
RayS Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 It`s a Simplicity tractor with a Murray deck. The all wheel steer I believe is a Murray. Briggs bought them out a couple years ago when they (Murray) went bankrupt, according to a dealer. http://www.allischalmerslawn.com/
JimH Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Tommy, to elaborate a little more on Ray's info. The new AC-130's are identical to the Simplicity Regent and Snapper LT-125. The all-wheel steer version, as Ray said is the murray drive train and is also available in a Snapper version. A few of us on here own these AC-130's so feel free to ask for more info on them.
toad270 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 What do you think of these new AC's Would you buy them again?
Al Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Hi, The new ACs are basically the Regent, originaly supposed to have a lighter transmission, I think there was a problem getting it to fit the Regent frame and I think they have the better transmission that the Regent uses. They have the Murray deck though and are lower priced than the Regent. Want one? I have them. Al Eden

RayS Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 quote:Originally posted by OrangeMetalGuy Does it have a full-roller deck? No. http://www.allischalmerslawn.com/products/detail.cfm?id=148572cbdaa7a3282d365aca992a6bd8
TommyK Posted May 16, 2011 Author Posted May 16, 2011 Ah. There it is. Too much cream in the hood for my liking. needs to be more orange. So, is there anyone else, other than Simplicity making garden/lawn tractors for sale in the US?
