Caish Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 After seeing a few on here and how they mount up. I think I can make a dozer blade for the front of my 920. I have an old 3 point here that is just begging to be cut down and added to the front of the little work horse. :D So what would be the best sized blade? 3 foot or 4 foot. I don't want to chance blowing a differential from it.
NandoG Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Make it wider than the tractor, I add 10 inches to each side now is 68 inches wide, because the wheels keep going over the snow when plowing.

stevenj Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 The HD plow is 46" wide. The LD plow is 42" wide. The Legacy used a 60" blade I believe. 48" wide would be fine.
HubbardRA Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I have been using a 48 inch spring-trip blade from Bolens tractor that I modified to fit a Simplicity. It works great on my 716H.
larry8200 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I have 42" and 46" dozer blades. The 42" is too narrow when fully angled, the 46" blades are just right. IMO
