Check gap between flywheel and coil. Use a business card. Its got to be close.

I was able to get a new coil and it had instructions with it and what it said was two thickness of the enclosed instructions and just for the heck of it I miked it and it came out to .025 thousands. Thank You Stan

Stan, Be sure that the kill wire isn't shorting somewhere along the way. They will sometimes vibrate and rub a spot thru the insulation and then your coil is shorted out all the time. If that looks good, check where the kill wire connects to the carb. linkage and make sure it isn't shorting there. I usually disconnect that wire from the linkage first whenever I have a no-spark situation, it is the easiest to fix and only a minute to check it. Steve

Not sure which engine this is but .025 is to much on almost all of them! Should be .012.

I was always told .010 coil, .020 points and .030 plug.
