timflury Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 When I was mowing today, my transaxle started making A LOT of noise. I mow in second gear. My mow tractor is this one. I'm hoping it's just a shift fork adjustment. I always had to kinda use a little extra force to put it in second. Your thoughts???
Burntime Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Could it be the belt tension? Maybe its not disenguaging all the way when you push the brake to shift?
TommyK Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Transaxles ought not to make a LOT of noise. My suggestion: Teardown. As bad as that sounds, it will only get worser and worser, and expensiver and expensiver. Sorry. On the up side, you get to play with tools and things. sm06
