TommyK Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 One of the decals on "The Deuce", 5212.5 is coming loose at the corner. The gum is fouled by dirt, of course. I'd like to remove the dirt and glue, then re-glue it. It's a 1x2 corner of the model number decal. It appears to be a clear rectangle with numbers painted upon it. Any suggestions for: 1. Glue remover 2. Glue to re-affix the decal corner. It needs to be transparent, like the decal. I really don't want the expense of new decals at this point. Maybe in a year or two, but not right now.
perry Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 not sure on your aplication, but i allways use super glue. if you need transparent then try a hobby shop or craft store.
huffy Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 In the past, I've had good luck removing old glue with Goof Off. Depending on the situation, sometimes I find it better to heat the decal up with a heat gun and gently remove it, clean all the old glue off of the decal and the body part with Goof Off, and then once it's dried use new glue to reapply the decal.
