D10-Allis Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I believe you guys said simplicity made one, any info if they painted one yellow for Allis?
perry Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 i think cub cadet had one too. have to search the archives here.
stangman1 Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I have one painted red, with yellow visible in the scratches.
Burntime Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Burntime flyer! Its the front axle from a 7117, bearing wheels and all!:D
TommyK Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 "Radio" as in Radio Flyer, I suspect. I suspect they made them for all the garden tractor purveyors. Appears to be a standard issue wheel barrow pan.
huffy Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I've never used a wheelbarrow cart, and this thread has made me curious as to whether they offer any advantage to a standard, square sided cart. I'm guessing not, since you don't see many of them around these days. Is the appeal simply that you don't have to remove a tailgate to dump?
Burntime Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Load it much heavier for mine. I also set it to want to dump if you release the handle. I would guess the ones made for simplicity are the same...no more bullying the cart over...
TommyK Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Not having a tail gate to open IS the appeal. Fill it, drive it to the destination, dump and go without leaving your seat.
goatfarmer Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 They were made by Radio Steel, in Chicago. Same as the Radio Flyer wagons.
dads707 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Mike, could you post pics of the "Burntime Flyer" as to how you built it? Even a pic of the axle assembly would help. I want one! Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread. Mike, could you start a new one and post the pics for me? Thank you.
