Received a letter today from someone wanting to give one away to a good home, where it will be appreciated, either for parts or restoration. Lost compression last fall... and his wife wants him to scrap it, but he doesn't have the heart to do that. Looks complete, and certainly easily restorable. Comes with mower deck, some extra parts, manuals, etc. Must be picked up at his house in St Charles pretty promptly -- take your ramps or trailer, but he can help load. First come, first served... post here and I'll PM you the guy's contact information.

This one should be up SimplicitySwede's alley.

Kent, I do not mean to be critical but as I have posted here before all of the numerous 7 & 8 HP engines that I have had appear to be junk. I have never had one come through here that did not have a bad engine.I had 2 of these given to me in the past 3 months after I swore that i would never accept another one. One of them was a Sim 707 owned by an older Germam friend of my nieces and she claimed he was very fussy about taking care of it.According to his records before he passed away he had replaced the original engine with 2 others and I just spent $90 to replace a coil in that one. I never had to replace a 9 or 10 Briggs cast engine on any of my tractors they just seem to keep right on chugging along.
