bgosh Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 What would be the distance from the back of the tires to the center of the Coulter for good or easier plowing? The only reason I used those places is for reference points. Some one added some channel iron to mine and it just seems kind of back too far.Or maybe it doesn't matter too much.Never used a plow before and I would like to cut down on the mistake situations, that I am going to make. Stan
D10-Allis Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Stanley, you don't mention which plow you have but I measured from the hitch pin to center of copulter. I remove the coulter when plowing, hope this helps. Heres two pics. Brinly is about 16" Allis/Simplicity is about 12 1/2"
bgosh Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 My plow is a david bradely.I guess I will have to shorten it up.Thank You Stan
perry Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 not sure if length makes a difference. but i know the correct angle does. have to measure between the rear tires to set a brinly up . brinly plow manual - http://www.brinly.com/manuals/Brinly-Products/BH-Ground-Engaging/PP-1200BH_PP-51BH/L-1043_PP-510BH.pdf simplicity plow info and manual here - http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=116909&SearchTerms=plow more info - http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=116794&SearchTerms=plow
