http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8aqO3rE3Cvh5kbp796Dq In the manual above on page one it says to use No. 182 counter weight, (for bracket no 11) is that the same stinger weight that would go into the sleeve hitch? :Q

That is what I thought as well, but the front page of his manual he has linked states you can use ther rear weight as well with that bracket he has next to his plow.

Could that be a typeO? Have never seen the rear counter wt being used to lift the plow.

It doesn`t state the the weight is being used to lift the plow. The bracket no. 11 is fastened to number 25 the sadle on page 2 and slid into the tube on the bracket for extra weight.

The bracket is fasten to the top hole in sadle and weight slides into it. At least that is how I take it.

I agree that bracket No. 11 would hold the stinger weight to help it engage into mother earth, the front counter weight would then be needed to lift the plow out. Were these sold with the plows or as an add on option, anybody else have or seen one. OO

I have an AC single shovel layoff plow that has the bracket to use the rear counterweight on it.It helps to keep it in the ground.Maybe some turn plows used the same setup to add weight to the plow?
