Willy Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I just bought a Allis 410,a five hour road trip in the rain and wind blowing like mad. It's the only RBT in the fleet and the foot draggier wont let it in the garage. I mowed with it yesterday mowed nice strips, but I am having a heck of a time getting used to the shuttle. I had to quit after about twenty minutes the oil smoke got the best of me. Should work good for fogging skeeters.:D I haven't decided yet if I should flush the Kohler or re ring it. I'll get some pictures and get some opinions later.
sammiefish Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 sounds great... Id suggest just re-ring and check valve tappet clearance... wont cost much
Willy Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 I'll probably re-ring it It's a good excuse to buy a new Cyl Hone. I have a ampco hone with 4 in stones I bought when I was wrenching on cars, new stones at NAPA were $40. bucks the guy said the only reason they stocked them was for the John Deere factory in waterloo Ia. I can buy a new hone for $29. so I told him no thanks, I know I never paid near that much when I bought it.:(
