mongolio Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 If I were to..... 1984 916H (16hp Kohler) comes with: Hydro drive & Hydro lift 48" deck 42" snowblower (rear pto) 42" (I think) front blade 36" rear tiller 1977 7016H (16hp B&S, 920 hrs) comes with: Hydro drive & Electric lift. 42" deck 42" snowblower (front pto) Snow Cab - soft side, hard top pics can be seen on my profile.. The Chalmers was rebuilt in '09, probably in need of new rings as evidenced by the blow by out the breather. Tilled the garden this spring just fine, now no spark no nothing. Might be in the key switch. Probably in line for a complete repower. Was my grandfathers, who bought new in 1984. The Simplicity ran great all winter, now come mowing time it floods out every 30 minutes. Probably just a good carb cleaning will do the trick. I'm 3rd owner, have most of the original documentation. If I were to...... how much could all this be worth??? I don't want to do this, but am extremely frustrated with their inability to stay problem free.
Burntime Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 If you want to get top dollar you need to sell the attachments seperate. They are worth far more running then not. If you want to sell them quick then a package at a lower price... It sounds like you have a nice fleet. A few repairs are how the madness starts...:D
mongolio Posted June 2, 2011 Author Posted June 2, 2011 I'm hoping to get the Simplicity into the local Simplicity dealer for a carb clean / rebuild hear soon. I called on Tuesday & they are booked solid. Carbs are not my thing, & it has the large Flo-Jet, which is basically a 1 piece with an integrated bowl, so it's not like I can just remove the bowl & spray some carb cleaner into it. It's still running good, minus the flooding shutdown every 30 minutes, then wait for the carb to dry out before I continue mowing. If you consider that a problem!;)
