TOMT 0 Posted June 26, 2001 In my “Bugs Bunny” post, Brian Mann suggested dog fur scattered around the garden for repelling rabbits. There’s a little poodle that runs around the neighborhood chasing cars, motorcycles, lawn tractors, anything with an engine. I think its name is Fifi. Fifi always chases my orange and white Landlords. So, I figured it would be easy to “process” Fifi in my Sovereign vac. Holding the roving nozzle wand like a lance, I drove around my property. Fifi came running, but as soon as she saw my Sovereign, she turned and ran away. What do you think frightened Fifi..? Too much orange paint..? http://home.att.net/~herb.niewender/fifi-seq.jpg
djarvis949 0 Posted June 26, 2001 I'm guessing that this tractor has not been out of the shed since last Halloween Herb.. On a sidenote, I sold my 71 Sovereign today. Tough to part with, but even with the new shed, there was really only room for one tractor in my stable. Terry
Mann 0 Posted June 26, 2001 Just for the record I didn't recommend any specific fur procurement methods. LOL! Very Nice! I love the bullhorns!
Mann 0 Posted June 26, 2001 yes, the bullhorns.............I'm figuring theres a lot of ripped sheets hanging from the clothesline.
PGL 354 Posted June 26, 2001 For the full effect Fifi reacted to, shouldn't there be someone on the seat?
jlasater 185 Posted June 26, 2001 Someone has too much free time on their hands? :-)[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]
MPH 12 Posted June 26, 2001 Somehow Dutch, I don't believe you planned your seek attack to well. MPH
Kent 435 Posted June 26, 2001 Sounds like he may only need to change a pulley (gear ratio) to boost the top end a bit, and then he'd be ready to go rabbit hunting.... Fifi certainly won't scare them away!
SmilinSam 3,580 Posted June 26, 2001 Hey Dutch! I have a tractor mount power thatcher with its own engine that could be rigged up on the front of that beast. It would properly comb and "De-Furr" the critter before it went to the vac. HA! And my wife says I have no sense of humor............. Sam
SmilinSam 3,580 Posted June 26, 2001 Terry, Sorry to hear you sold the Sovereign. Thought you’d be adding to your stable since you got the shed. What’s the matter, is the patio off limits now..? Sam, My wife can’t make up her mind. Either I have no sense of humor, or a sick sense of humor. Get a copy of the book, “101 Uses for a Dead Cat”----- Funnnny………. Jerermy, You found and pushed my “button.” “Too much time on my hands,” I hear that all the time from my wife, family, and friends. Those that veg out 4 hours at a crack watching asinine sit coms are only watching TV. Those that sit on a bar stool 4 hours at a crack are only spending time with the boys. Those that lay on the beach 4 hours at a crack are only relaxing. I do none of those things, but get accused of having too much time on my hands. Then, when there’s work to be done, I get accused of pushing men half my age too hard. Like it’s my fault their flabby, beer bellied, sun burned bodies can’t keep up with this old man. jlasater 185 Posted June 26, 2001 Hehe...well I'm taking 30 days to do harvest for my summer vacation. So...I'm weird as well. All the folks I work with think I'm loopy, but running a combine is relaxing in a strange kind of way. The only technology around is mechanical. No phones, TV, computers, other people. Just you and the machine. Heck, sometimes I mow the yard even though it doesn't need it just because I like driving my 716H around.[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]
